This new construction home is grand, but casual. We wanted to create a home that honors the beauty and integrity of the space in a way that is not pretentious.

The homeowners engaged Jennifer Smith Design after the plans were set and the build was underway, so we quickly got to work designing lighting, tile, cabinetry and hardware.

The color palette is quiet and lovely lighting draws your eye up and around the open floor plan rooms! An earthy green unites spaces from the kitchen island, to the mud room built in lockers to the Four Seasons room that is enveloped in it. Adjacent to these rooms is the stunning powder room with the same earthy green in the stems of the flowers on the black floral wallpaper.

The butler’s pantry connects the kitchen and dining room visually with the green cabinetry, quartzite countertops with greens and grays and the dining room’s creamy wainscoting and warm grey grasscloth wallpaper. The jewelry in all of the spaces are the unique light fixtures that add charm to each space!
